Sweetwater Ibizans is located in California & is home to three beautiful hounds. They are our companions first but we also enjoy open field coursing, lure coursing and showing.  We believe form follows function and performance and beauty go hand in hand.    

We have been privileged to own Ibizans for 12 years. They are a wonderful breed which is still used for hunting in their homeland of Spain.  They are intelligent & fast like other sighthounds but their unique ability is to maneuverer through and over high cover.  I love their athleticism but by far their best quality is their charming personalities :-)

This is Augie’s daughter, Opal.

She’s 3.5 years old and is quite the character. Luckily she’s very sweet and lovable too. She certainly keeps Roo on his toes!

This is Rubio (Roo), our Spanish import. He’s 4 years old now and excels in the open field.  When he chooses to take it seriously, Roo can hold his own on the lure field too :-) He is a goofy, sweet boy.

Yuza turned 5 this year. She still enjoys the open field and an occasional lure course or two.  She is always wagging her tail and is the sweetest girl.

Augie was the first Ibizan Hound. He crossed the rainbow bridge at age 12 and is sorely missed.
